Just Enough Rope brings together country, rock, and alternative sounds to focus on experiences where hands feel tied, feet seem bound, and the options seem slim on what to do with that last few feet of rope. Futility and hopelessness actually provide some of the most positive points in the album with Baber and Locklear's songs respectively back-to-back. Blame, fear, and regret are heard loud with large reverb guitar parts and deep booming drums. Recorded in Austin and Dallas, the trio chased a traditional rock and roll attitude while not repressing any peripheral influences from changing the sound. The album stays fresh and each song brings something new while adding to the larger sound of the project.
